Mr. Truesdell is a
forty-year
resident of Las Vegas and has been actively involved in the local commercial real estate market for the past
twenty-seven
years. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, majoring in Hotel Administration with a minor in Real Estate Finance.
Formerly an officer of PriMerit Bank (Nevada Savings & Loan), Ric was responsible for overseeing the design, development, and leasing of PriMerit's corporate headquarters located on West Sahara Avenue. In 1985, Ric formed Cornerstone Company to better represent the needs of his clients. He continues to work with several financial institutions, along with a wide spectrum of corporations, on both the national and local levels. His hands-on approach in site selection, project development, and lease negotiation has gained him much loyalty among his repeat clients.
Ric is an active member in a number of professional associations, both in the Las Vegas Valley and nationally, such as the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP). Mr. Truesdell has received "Brokers of the Year" awards from Summa Corporation and Howard Hughes Properties for 1988, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1999. Ric has served on the Planning Commission, to which he was appointed by Mayor Oscar Goodman, since 1999.
As a fierce advocate of the cultural development of Las Vegas, Ric was a member of the Board of Trustees for the Lied Discovery Children's Museum and has been involved in the development of the Museum's facilities near downtown Las Vegas.
He is a founding board member and continues to serve on the Board of Trustees for The Meadows School, Nevada's only non-profit, non-sectarian college preparatory school. Furthermore, he is a proud member of National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR).
